Presented at the Canadian Health Informatics Awards (CHIA) Gala on June 5, 2017:
The Corporate Citizenship award recognizes leading for-profit healthcare ICT companies that are both committed to and passionate about health informatics (HI) and have heavily invested in contributing to the industry in Canada. This annual award provides client organizations and business partners the opportunity to nominate private sector companies who they feel have demonstrated a very high level of commitment to HI over the past 12 months.
It goes without saying that this year’s winner has had a significant impact on the Canadian Healthcare Industry in their 34-year history. Being 100 percent Healthcare focused, in addition to participating in and supporting numerous conferences and events, their industry experts have presented top quality papers and abstracts, delivered valuable topical workshops, supported our publications, and extensively volunteered resource time to many projects and initiatives, including many of those led by COACH and ITAC Health.
Their President and CEO sets a high standard for all of us in the industry, by the endless donation of volunteer time she personally provides to her many commitments, including special projects, initiatives and several ongoing Board level positions. All their employees are actively involved in professional associations and a vast range of health sector and informatics organizations, enhancing their overwhelming contributions to the sector and advancement of the use of technology in healthcare through their leadership, support and participation.
Healthtech Consultants has not only demonstrated leadership in what it means to give back to the industry that we all serve, but has provided a motivation to us all to do more, to aspire to something greater.
