Susanne is a ground-breaking business leader with exceptional business acumen, a motivational team-based approach and the capacity to lead teams that deliver transformational change in healthcare. Establishing Healthtech Consultants in 1983 she was an early leader in the innovative uses of information technology to improve patient care. Susanne is an information management professional with demonstrated experience in corporate management, leading complex multi-stakeholder projects, process re-engineering, business transformation and clinical adoption. As a leading thinker in eHealth and a successful female entrepreneur Susanne is a sought after speaker and mentor. She is currently on the Board of ITAC, ITAC Health and Camp Awakening - a camp for disabled children and teenagers and the Advisory Board of CanChild.

Karen Shearing-Wittig is recognized leader in project delivery, management, and clinical and administrative systems gained through more than 25 years of clinical and IT/IM consulting in healthcare. Karen’s collaborative, client-focused approach leverages team strengths and capacity to deliver real results. She ensures that leadership, capacity and knowledge are transferred to clients, ensuring successful planning, implementation, transformation and project completion. Karen leads our Project Management Office and maintains Healthtech's REAL project management methodology.

Karen is one of Canada’s top MEDITECH experts, with over 25 years experience leading MEDITECH systems implementations on all platforms – Magic, Client Server and 6.x. In the past five years she has lead six large MEDITECH HCIS initiatives including Canada's first and second MEDITECH 6.x green field implementations.

Vice President –Business Development

Ed has over 29 years of healthcare IM/IT experience and is a well-respected Healthcare IT and business development strategist. He has a wealth of experience advising on healthcare sales development strategies, and overall business growth initiatives. Ed has a deep understanding of sales strategies and account development at the local, national, and international levels. He has been responsible for providing strategic direction on business planning, processes, and initiatives in multi-million dollar organizations. As Vice President of Business Development Ed leads the design and execution of strategies, plans, and initiatives to drive new business, market Healthtech services, and achieve our revenue growth targets. Ed oversees the Opportunity Review Committee, and the proposal development team.

John Flett

Vice President - Corporate Development

John Flett has an extensive business background and accumulated considerable corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring and management consulting experience prior to joining Healthtech. John is responsible for managing all of the corporate functions within Healthtech including finance, marketing support, HR and driving the controlled growth of the firm going forward. He also leads our Contract Services division where we place full time contract resources at various healthcare clients and is President of Healthtech Innovations, a sister company that invests in early stage healthcare technology companies. John holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with an HBBA.
